Blessings of the Eastertide.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and generous contributions towards our medical outreach, the most recent of which was held on 10th January 2026. Your compassion has brought healing and hope to thousands who would otherwise have had no access to healthcare.

The patient reach was once again at record levels this year, as we lost count at some point, but we can say we easily attended to about 4,000 to 5,000 patients. The turnout was a powerful testament to the existing need. Many travelled from neighbouring towns and villages, arriving at dawn to seek care for long-standing ailments.

Once again, the Medical Team was brilliant. To ensure the highest standard of care, we again engaged a professional team of 20 Doctors/Ophthalmologists and 30 Nurses. Having a paid professional staff ensured that every patient received a formal consultation, a clear diagnosis, and a professional treatment plan.

The treatments and services provided included:

– General Medicine: We treated widespread cases of malaria, typhoid, respiratory infections, and skin conditions.

– Chronic Diseases: Hundreds were screened for hypertension and diabetes, receiving both immediate medication and lifestyle counselling.

– Pharmacy: As seen in the attached video and photos, we established a full-on-site dispensary, providing all prescriptions free of charge.

– Ophthalmology & Surgery: As always, our eye clinic was a focal point and remains our busiest hub. We distributed corrective eyeglasses and eye drops. Most significantly, we performed life-changing eye surgeries (primarily cataract removals) for some of the many referred patients (more than 30), some on both eyes. The first batch of surgeries was carried out on 26th January, and I was able to visit the patients in the hospital before I left Nigeria, as seen in the attached video. Seeing the joy and gratitude of those who can now see after years of “living in darkness” was a humbling experience. A second batch of surgeries will begin as soon as more funds are transferred to the clinic.

Your kindness and support enabled the funding of the required medical supplies, surgical equipment, pharmaceutical stock, the stipends for our dedicated medical and non-medical personnel, and logistics. Your contributions didn’t just buy medicine and provide services; they brought so much joy and hope, and a second chance at a healthy life, to an entire community. The smiles of the elderly who felt loved and valued, the excitement of the almost blind who could see again, and the relief of parents whose children are finally fever-free are “thank yous” that words cannot fully capture. Some of you were on video calls with us during the outreach to witness the event and have told me how moving the experience was. I only wish you could all be there to witness this in real life and in real time. Please know that you have acted as the hands of Christ in a tangible, life-saving way.

Thanks to your generosity, the lady who needed very delicate fibroid surgery, who was turned away last year because of a lack of funds at the time, was later sent to a major hospital in the city, where she was treated after we paid the bills, thanks to your generosity. She came with her husband this year to express their profound gratitude and prayerful wishes. While we again encountered heartbreaking cases we couldn’t yet solve—including a severe case of cervical cancer and several malnourished children—the progress we’ve made since I took the radical decision to start this alone seven years ago, on my mother’s anniversary, is simply a miracle, and is largely down to your incredible support.

Our hope is, funds permitting, to host the next outreach at the permanent site, which is still under construction and will serve as a year-round health education facility and clinic.

I can only pray that God, who is never outdone in generosity, rewards you immensely for your kindness.
